I was researching Erectile Dysfunction for another post and came across the coolest information I just had to share. Stay with me, please.
Many men do not realize that there are different types of erections – three, to be exact. A reflexive erection is due to physical stimulation while a psychogenic erection is triggered by visual or mental images. A nocturnal erection is one that occurs during sleep.
All three of these involve specific bodily systems including the hormones, muscles, blood vessels, nervous system, and emotions. If any of these systems become compromised, it can cause ED. In the case of anxiety and stress, these things can affect the brain’s ability to send the necessary signals to trigger the desired physical response – an erection.
Meditation for Erectile Dysfunction
Did you know there is SCIENCE behind Meditation for the treatment of ED? It may sound crazy and like an over-simplification of a challenging issue, but I have read several articles about how Meditation has “cured” ED for many men. Sure, it isn’t like taking a little blue pill, but it is a more natural method to correct a cock that isn’t doing what it’s supposed to.
Relaxation techniques, for example, can be beneficial for many of the causes of psychological ED including stress, anxiety, and depression. Here are a few ideas you can try on your own:
Rhythmic breathing – Concentrating on your breathing while taking long, slow breaths can help you take a step back from your stress and anxiety to live in the moment. Try inhaling slowly and deeply over a count of 5 then hold your breath for 5 seconds before exhaling slowly over another count of 5.
Meditation – Just ten to fifteen minutes of meditation a day can drastically reduce your stress and anxiety. There are many different ways to practice meditation, so try a few options to see what works best for you.
Guided imagery – This practice involves calming your mind and slowing your breathing while creating peaceful imagery in your head. It may also involve positive self-talk, giving yourself affirmations and dispelling negative thoughts.
Why Try Meditation?
Why not?! What have you got to lose?
Meditation is amazing! Take my word for it. I have used meditation for many different serious issues in my life, from healing from surgery without pain medication to the most recent, coping with not being able to talk for almost 2 weeks. Just 10 minutes a day is amazing. More is better and as you become acclimated to the experience, it becomes amazingly desirable to continue.
Questions?
If you have questions about meditation, please do not hesitate to email me and ask. I can share many different resources regarding Mindfulness and Mindfulness Meditation… and now that I know them, even Meditation for ED!

This is a great post, Ms. Daphne!
I think the body is amazing with its own abilities to heal, and we as the owners of these bodies for the time we have them can help that process by doing healthy things like eating clean, exercising, and exactly what your post says…meditating. With my running, I have added nightly meditation, about 15 minutes a night, and it makes SUCH a difference with how I feel and how I approach pushing myself! I simply love this post, and will experiment with using this in BDSM as well!!
Ms. Delia
Oh, yes yes!!
Mindfulness and BDSM go together like peas and carrots! If each person is not “in the moment,” damage can occur (of many varieties, emotional/mental/physical).
For me, where Mindfulness Meditation comes in most in my own BDSM play/work, is during Aftercare and breathing with my submissive/bottom. It is a lovely flying state together as we slowly float back down from a lovely Scene.
Love you!
